Charity Bake Sale

My wonderful colleagues at HarperCollins Children’s Books gave me the opportunity to host a Charity Bake Sale to raise money for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a charity I hold dear.

Thank you to everyone who helped out and donated, especially the star bakers! Everyone’s contribution that day, meant that we raised over £500, with all the proceeds from the Bake Sale going towards supporting sick babies and their families.

The Story: I am supporting CW+ Charity after a close friend of mine gave birth to a baby boy last year who passed away at 13 days old due to a rare condition (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia). It meant he was born with underdeveloped lungs and had a 50% chance of survival. She and her family are running the Dublin Marathon, to support the vital work that goes on in NICUs.
